ARABIC INTERPRETERS - ON-SITE LONDON, ONTARIO

Due to our recent expansion 911 Interpreters is seeking to engage services of on-site medical and community interpreters.
Requirements:
- Medical Interpreter Certificate is preferred
- Medical interpretation experience on-site is a requirement
- Post-secondary education
Responsibilities
- over the phone language interpretation between clients and the limited English proficiency speakers
- assimilating words quickly, including jargon and acronyms
- building up specialized vocabulary banks
- writing notes to aid memory
Skills
- an excellent command of English and Arabic
- a good memory and the ability to learn fast
- ability to closely follow client's instructions
- skills to interact well with people and work as part of a team
- ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality on the matters you are interpreting
- flexibility to deal calmly with unexpected and difficult situations
- reliability, dedication and commitment to providing superior customer service
